Weekly Fishing Report For February 3rd 2022 - Tackle World Cranbourne & Mornington

FLINDERS

John Oz fished Flinders with baited jigs and caught some solid squid.

COWES

Kozzi and Huff had a good session off Cowes last weekend with some nice pinkies, whiting and trevally caught.

GARDENERS CHANNEL

Dylan Gussenhoven fished Gardners Channel and had an awesome 1.5hr bite with some nice whiting caught. Dylan also reported catching and releasing endless pinkies as well as some nice yakkas, snook and flathead.

MIDDLE SPIT

Steve Johnston from Ace Fishing Charters had some fantastic sessions on the whiting with his customers this past week with most fish caught in the Middle Spit area.

TYABB BANK

Andrew Gribbin caught this solid 43cm bream fishing Tyabb Bank for whiting using squid for bait.

Terry, Mex and Wayne fished Tyabb Bank recently and managed a nice bag of whiting.

WARNEET

Brett Reed and Izzy Sesto fished out from Warneet and got into a patch of nice whiting using the Reedy’s Tinganoster whiting rigs baited with squid, pipi and/or mussel.

TOORADIN

David Milne and Mick fished the mouth of the Tooradin Channel and smashed the whiting in 9 metres of water using Californian squid and mussel for bait. They also fished the back of Joe’s Island for a few more whiting and report the schoolies were on the chew in the area as well.

CORINELLA

Mick Vanders caught this 63cm kingfish trolling a squid head from his kayak out from Corinella last week.

OFFSHORE

The Borninkhof family fished offshore on the weekend and caught some nice tuna using stickbaits.

The Reel Time Fishing Charters guys got stuck into some fantastic snapper fishing with their customers this week fishing Port Phillip Bay.

MT MARTHA

Izaac caught some nice squid fishing with his dad in their kayak off Mt Martha on Sunday.

SAFETY BEACH

Kurt Aylett bagged out on squid off Safety Beach using red foil jigs off the kayak.

OFFSHORE

Chris Cassar from Cassar Fishing Charters found some epic tuna action offshore this past week with some quality fish being caught.

The guys from Sharkmen Fishing Charters had a ball on the offshore tuna this past week with some amazing top water action for their customers.

Zac Cross from Cross Country Fishing Charters helped his customers catch some fantastic tuna offshore last week.

The Reel Time Fishing Charters crews have had a cracker week offshore with some beautiful tuna and kingfish being caught by their customers.

INDENTED HEAD

Ewan caught this nice gummy shark fishing off Indented Head on the weekend.
