WESTERN PORT

Shaun Furtiere from Think Big Fishing Charters fished Western Port with his customers this week and got them on to some fantastic whiting.

Kelvin from Reel Time Fishing Charters found some nice whiting for his customers fishing Western Port this week.

Jayson Turner from Pro Red Fishing Charters headed to Western Port with his customers this week and they landed some fantastic whiting.

TANKERTON

Esmee (5) and Leonie (8) found some nice whiting fishing close to Tankerton jetty over the weekend with squid working well for bait.

HASTINGS

Chris O'connell of the Vic Police Angling Club fished out from Hastings on the weekend and nailed some fantastic whiting in 15 metres of water using snatcher rigs and the ole faithful squid and pipi cocktail.

EAGLE ROCK

Bruce Ashcroft and his son James fished in 16 metres of water at Eagle Rock and caught some nice snapper and a gummy on fresh yakka.

JAM JERRUP

Kyle Douglas Young fished out from Jam Jerrup in his kayak and landed a nice gummy shark on the tide change.

EASTERN CHANNEL

Steve Johnston from Ace Fishing Charters has been finding some fantastic whiting for his customers fishing the Eastern Channel last week.

PORT PHILLIP BAY

The Reel Time Fishing Charters crews have been having a ball with their customers fishing Port Phillip Bay this week finding some decent snapper and squid for their customers.

OFFSHORE

Rob Mizzi from Sharkmen Fishing Charters headed out offshore from Port Phillip Bay and while they found the tuna it took some work to get them to bite.

James Rogers from Unreel Fishing Charters found the tuna for his customers over the past week with most success coming in the rougher weather much like we are use to for Portland bluefin.

Mario Dugonjic and Vitaliy Russo headed out from the heads offshore and managed to catch 2 nice bluefin tuna before the rest of the boats caught up with them at sunrise.

Jake Over reports in after getting in to the local tuna outside the heads over the weekend. Well done mate.

Michael Buxton from The Future Fish Foundation fished offshore from Port Phillip Bay on Saturday and landed this nice tuna on the troll.

Spreader bars with small 4 or 6 inch skirts and even small soft plastics have been the most successful this past week as the tuna seem to have become picky and matching the hatch to the small white bait they are eating is key.

THE RIP

Father and son duo Richard and Tom Kaehne fished The Rip on Sunday. Richard landed his 10kg king on a live squid and Tom a 5kg king on a squid bait.

Luciano Cipri picked up some squid at Queenscliff before heading to The Rip where he caught a nice kingfish.

MOUNT MARTHA

Dylan Gussenhoven fished out from Mount Martha on Saturday and had a blast catching some nice squid and a cuttlefish.

Steven Jurcec landed some nice squid and a solid cuttlefish fishing at Mount Martha.

Sam Gianquinta headed out to the 22 metres line out from Mount Martha and managed a nice bag of flatties with the biggest measuring 50cm.

Ian Gray took Zephyr and Hadley to Balcombe Creek in Mount Martha where the boys had a great time on some solid bream.

MT ELIZA

Amy Day with a nice squid caught out from Mt Eliza on Saturday on the new Majorcraft Egizo jig.

PATTERSON LAKES

Staff member Adam Walker fished Patterson Lakes on Monday and landed some cracking bream on hard bodies.

AROUND THE STATE & BEYOND

LAKE PURRUMBETE

Chris Farrugia and Bruno Portaro fished Lake Purrumbete and ended up with 9 brown trout to 9lb.

BARWON HEADS

Ricky Kennedy fished Barwon Heads with a mate in 50 metres of water and landed this ripper bronzie.

SEYMOUR

Jaylan with a nice 73cm Murray cod caught fishing at Seymour.

ALBERT PARK LAKE

Shane Bardsley has been smashing the football yellas at Albert Park lake lately.

PORT WELSHPOOL

Michael Grujovski and Johnny Raykovski report in from Port Welshpool where they have had a good week catching some nice gummies and King George whiting.

PORT ALBERT

Kay Krstic with a cracking gummy estimated over 20kg and measured 6ft4 caught while fishing at Port Albert.

LAKES ENTRANCE

Frank Milito headed out with his son Lewis on board Far Out Charters out from Lakes Entrance this week. Lewis stole the show with a cracking gummy and all on board had a ball catching some beautiful snapper.

Arch, John and Jimmy fished out from Lakes Entrance and landed some magnificent snapper to 11.6kg.

LAKE TYERS

Steve Bartlett caught this nice dusky flathead fishing Lake Tyers using a swimbait.

LAKE MULWALA

Peter Szitas caught and released this monster Murray cod land based at Lake Mulwala.

WESTERN LAKES, TAS

David Bryce landed this beautiful brown trout while fly fishing the Western Lakes in Tasmania.
