PAUL'S FISHING

Paul and the IFISH crew headed out from Martha Cove on Wednesday and shot across Port Phillip Bay to Queenscliff to catch up with Aaron Habgood from Red’s Fishing Adventures. Together they smashed monster calamari on Odori and IKA squid jigs in white and red headed white, then it was off towards St Leonards where they got a huge bag of King George whiting using pipis, squid and Lakes Entrance cured sandworm which was the best bait. Paul then headed over to Frankston in 16 metres where he landed 6 snapper to over 4kg. An epic day on the water getting into some of the best the bay has to offer.

WESTERN PORT

Shaun Furtiere from Think Big Fishing Charters continues to show us that he is the Western Port snapper king. Early in the week he had customer Peter Guerra on board who landed an 8.7kg snapper and as you can see from the photos, Shaun has had non-stop action on his charters this week.

WESTERN ENTRANCE

Brendon Hogg landed some fantastic snapper and a gummy using pilchards and Black Magic Snapper Snatcher rigs fishing from his kayak around the Western Entrance.

FLINDERS

Matthew Lauria was fishing out from Flinders on Sunday and managed to land this monster of a gummy shark.

SILVERLEAVES

Gavin Hocking landed this nice gummy around Silverleaves this week using fresh squid for bait.

RHYLL

Jacob Memery and his cousin Cooper Izzard landed some fantastic fish out from Rhyll this week, Jacob landed his PB trevally and Cooper this solid 1kg+ salmon.

Having some metal Arma lures on board is always a good idea in case a school of salmon move into the area you are fishing.

MIDDLE SPIT

Shaun Furtiere from Think Big Fishing Charters has continued his success on the whiting from the Middle Spit this week for his customers with good numbers landed; ideal baits have been pipis and fresh squid.

STONY POINT

Young Cooper Ellis managed this fantastic calamari fishing from the pier at Stony Point.

HASTINGS

Mo and Ron Raynor fished out from Hastings this week and landed some cracking snapper to 5kg.

LYSAUGHTS

Kozzi and Huff fished out from Lysaughts on Sunday and landed 20 salmon as well as a nice snapper.

Chris Preston headed out off Lysaughts with Daniel Redmond and landed this nice snapper on a squid hood in 14 metres of water at the start of the run in tide.

TYABB

Josh Van Der Horst landed this nice gummy out from Tyabb last week.

EAGLE ROCK

Bruce Ashcroft landed these 2 ripper snapper on fresh salmon fillets near Eagle Rock.

TOP END

Mel landed this solid silver trevally while fishing with her partner around the Top End.

TENBY POINT

Tyler Hotchkin pulled an all nighter on the yak this week and managed a nice gummy out from Tenby Point.

PELICAN ISLAND

Ben Ramsay fished with his mate Rick off Pelican Island and landed this cracking 78cm snapper using baby octopus for bait.

THE CORALS

Gavin Kirchner fished near The Corals this week for a beautiful snapper.

Staff member David Kennedy has been smashing the snapper at The Corals recently with some real beauties landed.

Matt Tormey fished out at The Corals this week and landed some nice snapper to over 60cm.

PORT PHILLIP BAY

The Keysborough Angling Club had 17 of it’s members on the water on Sunday with a total of 34 snapper and 18 flathead brought in.

Daniel Zagami from Fish On Charters managed some fantastic bags of snapper for his customers this week.

Jayson Turner from Pro Red Fishing Charters has had some cracking days on the water with his customers landing some nice snapper and gummies.

Simon Rinaldi from Red Hot Fishing Charters had a fantastic session on the snapper this week with his customers landing some good sized fish. That’s one big fat one on board there Simon!

Matt Cini, Marco and Bruno from Reel Time Fishing Charters have had their customers on to some beautiful snapper this past week with plenty of good sized fish for all on board.

Rob and Dylan Mizzi from Sharkmen Fishing Charters have had some nice snapper pulled aboard by their customers this week.

ST LEONARDS

Julian Rennie had a solo session out from St Leonards this week and landed himself some awesome whiting in 4 to 6 metres using pipis for bait.

WERRIBEE

Jayden Dalli with a fantastic gummy caught in 10 metres out from Werribee; he landed 2 for the day.

John Kalantzis fished out from Werribee in 12 metres of water and landed 2 beautiful gummies on salmon fillets during the incoming tide.

ALTONA

Mark Cater managed to get out on the water on Sunday and landed a nice snapper out from Altona.

Christian Stojanovic fished out from Altona and landed this fantastic snapper on silver whiting.

WILLIAMSTOWN

Phillip Jordan fished with Harley in 18 metres of water out from Williamstown and landed some ripping snapper.

Chris fished out from Williamstown this week and landed these 2 cracking snapper.

Rod Wright landed his first Port Phillip Bay snapper out from St Kilda this week, well done mate.

BRIGHTON

Aaron and Lance landed some beautiful snapper out from Brighton in 13.5 metres on Saturday.

Gez Tarzia bagged out off Brighton in 13 metres on the weekend, fresh squid heads and silver whiting were the best baits.

SANDRINGHAM

Vishant Prasad fished at Sandringham this week and landed this nice snapper.

BLACK ROCK

Chris Bonavia fished with his son Ayden on the weekend at Black Rock and bagged out off the kayak.

James Shehata landed this nice snapper off Black Rock this week.

Peter Kara landed this stonker snapper out deep off Black Rock this week.

Adrian Azzopardi took his fiance Milena Vukcevic out fishing off Black Rock near the shipping channel and they managed some cracking snapper to 4.6kg using silver whiting for bait.

James Rogerson and Steve Martin fished out from Black Rock finding it hard to get a bite on silver whiting. They changed to pilchards and landed these 2 beautiful snapper.

Sam Giaquinta took his daughter Natalie out fishing on Sunday and they managed this fantastic snapper off Chelsea in 14 metres on silver whiting.

CARRUM

Dean landed this cracker snapper off Carrum in 18 metres of water on Sunday morning.

Greg Creaser caught this beautiful snapper off Carrum on Sunday morning.

Koby and Rhys fished out deep from Carrum this week and landed some cracking snapper at first light on fresh squid.

Spiros Kasidiaris and his friend John headed out to the Carrum Artificial Reef this week and landed some fantastic snapper on silver whiting and fresh squid.

Calvin DeSilva fished out from Carrum in 12 metres of water and landed some nice snapper.

Aiden Duke broke his drought with this pearler of a snapper landed on silver whiting in 18 metres out from Carrum.

Young Patrick kicked off his snapper season with some cracking fish out from Carrum in 16 metres.

Maks and Lukas Radosevic fished out from Seaford on the weekend in 16 metres of water and landed some beautiful snapper.

FRANKSTON

Cane Falcon fished out from Frankston in 18 metres this week and landed 2 ripper snapper of 70cm and 74cm using pilchards and silver whiting.

MORNINGTON

Peter Bentley fished Mornington Pier on Friday afternoon and landed this fantastic snapper on squid tubes.

Hugo Maddalena landed these 2 nice squid out from Fisherman's Beach drifting squid jigs over the weed beds.

Paul Costo landed this ripper 6kg gummy out from Mornington on the weekend.

MOUNT MARTHA

Staff member Brendon Cunningham took his son Wiley out for a short session at Balcombe Creek and they caught a nice bream that screamed off with worm on a jig head.

Dave Cusack fished with Paul la Sala out from Apollo Bay and landed this ripper gummy shark, Steve was also fishing with Dave and Paul and landed this fantastic blue morwong.

CAIRN CURREN

Jon Dukker and his daughter Imogen fished Cairn Curren this week and landed some absolutely ripping yellow belly to 55cm as well as some good numbers of redfin.

LAKE NAGAMBIE

Blake Watts caught a beautiful yellow belly on a bibless lure at Lake Nagambie on the weekend.

LAKE EILDON

Troy Galt fished Lake Eildon last week and managed to land a football sized yella.

Bob Hazler fished at Lake Eildon late last week and managed a couple of nice Murray cod.

GOULBURN RIVER

Josh Munday, Ken Munday and Jake Derham caught and released these lovely rainbow trout while fishing the Goulburn River this week.

SUGARLOAF RESERVOIR

Dean Beattie caught this solid yellow belly at Sugarloaf Reservoir this week.

DEVILBEND RESERVOIR

Jack and Lilly had a great time on the EP’s at Devilbend using soft plastics and poppers on Monday night.

Tristan Rogers has been having a ball on the EP’s at Devilbend Reservoir fishing along the Eastern Shoreline and Dangeaan Point using Z-Man soft plastics in motor oil and shallow diving lures with the most success being late afternoon to dark.

PORT WELSHPOOL

Dayne Tracey and Dave McDonald fished out from Port Welshpool this week and landed some nice gummy sharks.

PORT ALBERT

Kay Krstic landed this nice snapper out from Port Albert last week.

LAKES ENTRANCE

Daniel and Braeden managed to find some beautiful snapper out from Lakes Entrance on the weekend.

LAKE HUME

Harv landed this ripper yella of 60cm at Lake Hume at midnight this week.

AROUND THE COUNTRY

PORT DOUGLAS

Staff member Scott Harper headed North to Port Douglas this week with mates Col, Pete and Brad chasing some big marlin. The boys totaled 5 from 9 raised; one at 1000lb plus ,one lost to sharks at 950lb plus and one at 800lb lost due to a line break plus a couple of smaller fish. Sounds like an awesome trip boys!

DARWIN, NT

Steve fished the Elizabeth River in Darwin last week and landed a nice barra of 58cm.

KING ASH BAY, NT

Mark and John are up at King Ash Bay at the moment and are smacking the barra on a variety of lures and also live mullet with some good numbers of fish up to 90cm.

TASMANIA

Jordy Bridge fished at Woods Lake in Tasmania and landed some beautiful tassie trout trolling lures and drifting spinners.
